Miriam L. Wallace is Professor of English & Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences at University of Illinois Springfield; formerly faculty and Division Chair of Humanities at New College of Florida. Her research focuses on the long eighteenth century with particular attention to political fiction, legal studies, and more recently elocution and public speech and variable embodiment.
