Teaching as a Profession is one of only three forums classified as “HEP,” or Higher Education and the Profession. The focus of our forum is on the intersection of criticality and classroom practice as it informs pedagogy across fields and approaches. We invite diverse voices to engage in these conversations, both during our convention panels and here on the Commons. The work that this forum does to examine, address, and engage with the issues that educators face today is essential to both the MLA and the scholarly community at large.

    Hello, all,

I\’m writing to invite you to join a new group on MLA Commons: Teaching Remotely. The group was created to provide a space for MLA members to build collective resources, share their experiences with one another, and ask questions about teaching remotely.

I thought that members of this Commons group may be interested in—and would have a lot of valuable perspectives to bring to—this new group.

Open to all MLA members, you just need to be logged in to MLA Commons to join the group. Here are some ways to contribute to the group\’s sense of community:

    • Reply to or create discussion topics.
    • Upload syllabi, teaching materials, or other related scholarship to the CORE repository and share them with the group.
    • Subscribe to get e-mail notifications when there is group activity.
    • Let other MLA members know about the group.

I hope to see you there! (And with apologies for cross-posting!)

Apologies for the additional message. For some reason, the link broke in my original message. Here is the correct link: https://mla.hcommons.org/groups/teaching-remotely/.
