I have been teaching ethnic and American studies–especially literary and film studies–in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Bothell since 1998. I served for seven years as Director of the Teaching and Learning Center. I earned a Ph.D. in comparative culture at the University of California, Irvine.
