I hope our forum members will consider attending our sponsored sessions at this year’s MLA convention, and help out our work by letting others who will be in attendance know about them!

    * Attention, Please! Thu 5:15-6:30, Moscone West – this face to face session examines attention from neurodiverse perspectives, including neuroqueer, ADHD, and PTSD-based approaches. Please join us if you’ll be in San Francisco!

    * Literature in the Laboratory, Saturday 12-1:15, VIRTUAL – a roundtable featuring eminent scholars working on the empirical study of literature, including Karen Dill-Shackleford, David Hanauer, Don Kuiken, Raymond Mar, and Natalie Phillips. This is a roundtable dedicated to discussion rather than formal presentation, so join us online with all your questions about how and why we might study literature in the lab!

    * Race Comes to Mind, Sunday 1:45-3:00, VIRTUAL – presenting work at the crucial intersection of cognitive literary studies with critical race studies and Black studies, featuring papers from Sowon Park and Julie Carlson; Stephanie Batiste; Michael Thomas; and Kevin Quashie. Join us online for this virtual session!

Program links to all sessions can be found here: https://mla.confex.com/mla/2023/meetingapp.cgi/Symposium/2149 .
