About
After working in academia for 20 years—first as a tenure-track/tenured scholar in digital rhetoric, writing studies, and publishing studies, then as a director of a digital publishing unit in an academic library—I have transitioned into consulting on some of my favorite things: helping authors and editors refine their project ideas, workflows, and documentation, and generally helping people get the projects they love done. I am also executive director for the Council of Editors of Learned Journals and have been editing Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy for over 25 years. Education
PhD, Rhetoric and Technical Communication (Michigan Technological University)
MFA, Poetry (Virginia Commonwealth University)
BA, English/Poetry (Old Dominion University)
