About
I am interested in the intersections between early modern literature and culture; in particular, the small moments that shed light on the relationship between body and self. I believe that the French Renaissance stands at the nexus of many fruitful and urgent conversations and try to learn about as many of them as I can. The early modern period lends itself organically to studies that are interdisciplinary and collaborative; I have recently published two articles with a social scientist and have just completed an edited volume and translation of French fairy tales with a colleague.
