POPULAR CULTURE ASSOCIATION 2021 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

PROPOSAL DEADLINE:  NOVEMBER 1, 2020We are considering proposals for individual papers analyzing any aspect of travel and tourism. Proposals might focus on travel literature, the psychology of travel, the history of tourism, the pedagogy of travel, resorts/hospitality/eco-tourism, student learning and travel courses, animals and travel, tourists and tourism, LGBTQ travel, medical tourism, dark tourism, travel souvenirs, leisure travel or business travel, hotel/motel culture, automobile/ship/air/space trips, and just about anything to do with travel and tourism in popular culture. Do we travel toward something or travel away from something? Is tourism moral or immoral? Is travel a spiritual journey or a crass commercial commodity? Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, typically with four 15-minute presentations per standard session. All presenters must be members of PCA and register for the conference. To submit your presentation, go to http://pcaaca.org and follow the instructions for creating an account and then making your submission of a 100-word abstract. • January 2, 2021: Late Registration Begins
• January 20, 2021: Preliminary Schedule Available
• February 1, 2021: Presenter Late Registration Ends at 11:59 pm Non-registrants Dropped  from Program
• February 2, 2021: Non-Presenters Registration Continues
• March 31-April 3, 2021: National Conference in Boston
