    Colleagues! Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague to serve on the LSL Language and Society Forum Committee. Forum Committee members help to organize a guaranteed session at the annual MLA conference, bolster and promote activity centered around language and society in the MLA, and get to meet and interact with other MLA members interested in rhetoric, writing, linguistics, and language study. Graduate student members with active MLA membership are especially encouraged to participate. The current nominee would begin serving on the committee in January 2025, and serve a term of 5 years. Please send nominations (self-nominations are welcome) by January 26th to Committee Chair Jessica Ouellette (jessica.ouellette@maine.edu) or Committee Secretary Shakil Rabbi (srabbi@vt.edu).
