Jennifer Travis teaches American literature at St. John’s University in New York City. She is the author of Wounded Hearts: Masculinity, Law, and Literature in American Culture (UNC Press, 2005) and co-editor of Boys Don’t Cry? Rethinking Narratives of Masculinity and Emotion in the U.S. (Columbia UP, 2002). She is currently working on a Wikipedia project with her women’s writers course, and she is designing a distance learning course in order to introduce and share digital resources and new pedagogical tools with her colleagues.
