Steve McCarty is an Adjunct Professor for international classes and faculty development at Kansai University. He remains a Professor at Osaka Jogakuin University, and lectures for the Japanese government international agency JICA. His CV lists 207 publications and 75 conference presentations. Google Scholar has found 325 citations to his work. He publishes on Japan, bilingualism, academic ethics, e-learning & language teaching. He has delivered five opening keynote addresses on e-learning at international conferences, most recently in Thailand (profile photo). Steve is from Boston and lives near Kyoto with his Japanese wife.


Steve studied physics and philosophy at Northeastern University, then Asian religions with a specialization in Japan for an M.A. degree from the University of Hawaii in 1986.
