I’m the author of The Disappearing Christ: Secularism in the Silent Era (Columbia University Press, 2019), and TV editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books. I previously taught in the Film and Media Arts Program at Louisiana State University, and I now teach in English and American Culture Studies at Washington University in St Louis.
