About

Nick Admussen is an associate professor of Chinese literature and culture at Cornell University, a translator, and a poet. He is the author of Recite and Refuse: Contemporary Chinese Prose Poetry (U of Hawaii Press, 2016), the translator of Ya Shi’s poetry collection Floral Mutter (Zephyr, 2020), and the author of the prose poetry collection Stand Back, Don’t Fear the Change (New Michigan Press, 2019). He was a 2016 Chiang Ching-Kuo fellow, a finalist for the National Poetry Series, and has been anthologized in Best Small Fictions and Best New Poets. His current research is into stricture in Chinese poetry and American culture.
