    Projects

Dissertation-turned-book coming out soon: The Apocalypse of the Birds: Enoch in the First-Century CE, with Edinburgh University Press. Abstract available here.

Articles on material philology & how it transforms our sources for the study of ancient Judaism and Christianity in Journal of Biblical Literature, Jewish Studies Quarterly, and Metatron.

On the teaching of classical myth and tragedy: with Mathura Umachandran in Teaching Classics in the U.S. Prison System, and forthcoming with The Classical World.

I also have projects in the works on basically everything you can think of with reference to the Book of Enoch, including articles on 1) its transmission in Greek, 2) its early-modern study inflected by European caricatures of Ethiopia, 3) the entanglement of its manuscripts with anti-Judaism, 4) the construction and editing of its Aramaic manuscripts by J.T. Milik, and 5) the dating of its constituent parts. If you are interested at all in any of this, please email me, and I’ll send you what I’ve got.
