About

I am a historian working on political and intellectual history. My research deals with political and intellectual relations between Yugoslavia and the Third World during the Cold War, especially focusing on connections between Yugoslavia and Latin America. My work aims to trace alternative political and intellectual networks, concepts and ideas during the Cold War. I am also interested in the use of digital methods in historical research, especially in the domain of spatial humanities and mapping, and in Yiddish culture and literature.

I am currently based in Paris and work as a Visiting Lecturer of contemporary history at the École Européenne de Sciences Politiques et Sociales in Lille. I am also a postdoctoral fellow at the project “Photographing Revolution: Images of Cuban Solidarity in Transnational Contexts” funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and a research associate at the Centre d’Études Turques, Ottomanes, Balkaniques et Centrasiatiques in Paris. During the year 2020-2021, I will be also working as a visiting fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Kőszeg and at the Center for Advanced Studies in Sofia.
