My interests are American poetry and, more generally, American literature and culture and the genre of poetry. I’ve written Robert Lowell: Life and Art; Sylvia Plath: The Wound and the Cure of Words; and over 50 articles and book chapters. I’m the co-editor of The New Anthology of American Poetry, Volumes 1-3. In recent years I’ve been working on a project on “Cold War Poetics.”
