<p>The most common reason to see formatting code or HTML in a post is when the text has been copied (usually from <em>Microsoft Word</em>) into the visual editor on <em>MLA Commons</em>. The best way to avoid it in the future is to use the text editor, rather than the visual editor. <p>1 / Some of my posts are full of html tags that I didn&#8217;t intend.</p>
<p>2 / When I noticed a typo in one of my posts, I couldn&#8217;t go in to edit/correct it.</p>
