    Dear Colleagues,

As you may have heard, Duquesne University abruptly announced a week ago that it would close its press: press staff, including the director, Susan Wadsworth-Booth, had no advance notice. There is an Inside HigherEd piece about it here: https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2017/02/07/duquesne-university-press-shut-down-later-year

Elizabeth Sauer, who is current President of the Milton Society of America, has written a strong letter to the Duquesne president and provost that is currently gathering support. Within its first 24 hours, the letter has gathered 215 signatures, a sign that people feel this would be a real loss to early modern studies.

Please follow this link to read the letter and add your signature: https://goo.gl/forms/J1m2jpVgPr2zoDJR2

Please also spread the word: we would like to gather as many signatures as possible before delivering the letter on February 16.
