The Department of English at the University of the Incarnate Word seeks applications for an Assistant Professor position in Composition and Global Anglophone Literature with an emphasis on social justice issues (tenure-track, 4-4 teaching load) beginning August 2020. Ph.D. is required prior to the appointment start date. The successful candidate should have a background in either Ecocriticism, Disability Studies, Critical Race Studies, or Medical Humanities, and will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to further the University’s mission to promote social justice both in and beyond the classroom. In addition to teaching lower- and upper-division courses, the candidate will balance research and service responsibilities. For reasons of equity and inclusion we will be conducting first-round interviews via video conferences rather than at the MLA Convention.

Please find further information and the application at https://jobs.uiw.edu/
