Dear colleagues,
I’m writing to ask for your help in spreading the word about a search for an Associate or advanced Assistant Professor of Black Diasporas in the Américas, to be a joint appointment in the Carter G. Woodson Department of African American and African Studies and the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at the University of Virginia. Our new colleague will be part of a 10-postion cohort hire dedicated to issues of race, justice, and equity, using a range of methodological and theoretical approaches to Black studies globally and nationally.
