This group is designed to discuss speculative fiction with special attention to spec fic featuring characters of color. We are calling it Octavia Butler as a way to frame discussions around gender, ethnicity, and sexuality. We are especially interested in how Octavia Butler’s literature is being used across disciplines in the classroom.
