<p>I know there&#8217;s a lot of great work out there on this topic, but the first one that comes to mind is <em>The Philosophy of Horror </em>by Noël Carroll.  I&#8217;ll update if/when I think of more.</p>
<p>Also- thanks for sharing those titles! I&#8217;m excited to check out Thacker&#8217;s work.</p>
