Which Forum Type Best Suits Gothic Studies?

    Thank you again to those who have expressed support for the idea of a Gothic Studies MLA forum.  We have more than the required number of signatories and MLA has now invited a formal proposal.  MLA is suggesting, however, that LLC (Language, Literature, and Culture) curiously might be too narrow for Gothic Studies and has suggested CLCS (comparative literary and cultural studies) as an alternative.  The list of forum types also includes “Transdisciplinary Connections” (TC), which currently houses popular culture, and Genre Studies (GS).  So I’m writing to ask those interested in this forum which category they think best accommodates it.  I have to admit that the distinctions among LLC, CLCS, GS, and TC seem pretty hazy to me…  Thanks!

    Possibly CLCS or TC…

    I could see CLCS or TC working as well, though I lean a bit more toward TC with its inclusion of pop culture and genre studies.
