    Thank you for visiting this group!   I’m initiating the process of getting an MLA forum on LLC Gothic Studies approved. At present this is only a prospective forum. To get approval requires several steps:   First, we must gather at least 35 signatures supporting a petition to create a Gothic Studies forum. We must also have at least 5 volunteers willing to serve in leadership positions. If you would like to support the petition, please indicate your approval by replying to this message stating “I support this petition.” If you’re willing to serve in a leadership position, please indicate that in your reply as well.   If we meet the thresholds for signatories and volunteers for leadership positions, MLA will invite a formal proposal. The proposal will detail the need for such a discussion forum in Gothic Studies, along with supporting evidence and the signatures to the petition.   Please feel free to pass this petition on to other MLA members interested in Gothic Studies.   Sincerely,   Jeffrey Weinstock Central Michigan University Jeffrey.Weinstock@cmich.edu
