The MLA International Bibliography is an online database that covers literature, language and linguistics, folklore, film, literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history, theory, and practice of teaching language and literature are also included.

The introductory tutorial video ”What is the MLA International Bibliography?” is now available in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages. You can view these and other bibliography tutorials from the following webpage:

    https://www.mla.org/bibtutorials

The bibliography contains citations to scholarly works in more than 60 languages, including languages of East Asia, and it is also searchable using Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other non-Roman scripts. We cover hundreds of periodicals published in East Asia and continually adding new titles.

If there are publications on East Asian literature not covered in the bibliography that you would advise us to include, please send your recommendations to periodicals@mla.org
