I am developing an online database on the visual culture of the Spanish masterpiece Celestina (1499). At the moment, everything is in Spanish, but a programmer is helping me to develop the English version (we are using Omeka).  I am trying to strike a balance between scholarly thoroughness and accessibility (intuitive navigation is my motto)  for the average users since there are materials in the database that can be used by stage directors, plastics artists, etc., not only by scholars. I would appreciate any input regarding this issue. Please have a look  the project at

    Any comments are welcome
