The committee will be meeting online this year following the MLA Convention. At the meeting, we will be considering nominations for the Executive Committee as well as session proposals for MLA 2026 in Toronto (Jan 8–11).

So we can ensure representation from across our field of children’s and YA literature, we encourage you to self-nominate for service on the forum’s executive committee and/or to propose a session for MLA 2026.

Self-Nomination Form for Executive Committee: https://tinyurl.com/mlachildlitexecnom

    MLA Session Proposal Form: https://tinyurl.com/mlachildlitpropose

Guidelines and restrictions for both opportunities are included at the links above. However, if you have questions after reviewing that information, you’re welcome to email me as the committee’s outgoing chair at blankpaige@gmail.com

Note: Self-nominations and proposals are due by **Monday, Jan. 13** using the links provided above.

Finally, our forum has typically opened the meeting to colleagues not currently serving on the executive committee. For those who would like to join us, we are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 2:45 p.m. EST. Take part in all the fun and games using this meeting link: https://tinyurl.com/MLA2026
