The Society for Textual Scholarship will convene its 2022 conference in person at Loyola University Chicago, May 26-28. With the theme of “Cultural Mappings,” we seek to explore the multivalent ways that mapping as a mode of inquiry and a methodological tool in the field of textual scholarship makes visible the meanings of cultural heritage and contributes to our affective experience of emplacement. Please see the STS website (https://textualsociety.org/2022-sts-conference-cfp/) for a full description of the conference theme, session types, plenaries, and keynote speakers, along with guidelines for submitting a proposal. The deadline for proposals is February 1.

We are planning an in-person conference, to take advantage of the many affordances of face-to-face interaction in Chicago. However, the conference committee will seek to accommodate those presenters only able to attend remotely. In the event that the pandemic prevents an on-site meeting, we will host the conference virtually.

    Please consider submitting a proposal!
