CFP: Special Topic in Antipodes: A Global Journal of Australian and New Zealand Literature — “Australia And…”
Priority Deadline 1 November 2024
Antipodes invites articles for a special feature section in Antipodes, journal of the American Association for Australasian Studies (AAALS) that considers a literary or cultural work (including film) from Australia and a work from another cultural tradition. This proposal emerges from the 2024 ACLA seminar of the same name, and this is a wider call for broader thinking about Australian creative work in a global context. Comparative topics are always welcome.
The priority submission deadline is 1 November 2024 (later submissions will be considered). Essays should be 5500-7500 words in length and follow the latest MLA citation style and Antipodes guidelines.
More information about the journal and submission process can be found here: https://digitalcommons.wayne.edu/antipodes/
Please contact Antipodes editor Brenda Machosky (antipode@hawaii.edu) with inquiries. All essays should be submitted through the journal’s website (see above) and will undergo double-anonymous peer review and editorial evaluation per the journal’s standing policy. Antipodes is published by Wayne State University Press.
