    Dear Colleagues,

Good afternoon. We are so excited that this evening we are holding the annual multi-forum reception. It will be held via zoom from 7:15-8:30 p.m. We hope that you might write to your forum list-serves and/or post to your H-Commons page a reminder of the event. It is listed as event 548 in the MLA Meetings Calendar. Elena Machado Sáez and myself will arrive a few minutes early in order to ensure that all is set up. Here is our proposed agenda:

    1. Elena and I will introduce ourselves and then we will ask forum chairs and secretaries who are in attendance to do the same and make any announcements they wish to make; (5 mins)
    2. Open the floor so members from all forums can share any exciting news such as new books they have published in the last year, promotion decisions, new appointments, Ph.D. completions, etc.; (5 mins)
    3. Ask all attendees: Is there is a professional resource you participated in and/or you found out about that you might share with colleagues? (5 mins)
    4. Ask all attendees: What book (fiction or non-fiction) did you read this year that you would like to share with the rest of the group? (5 mins)
    5. We will created breakout rooms based on attendance numbers and propose 1-2 icebreaker questions (5-10 mins)
    6. We will convert everyone into co-hosts and allow participants to create their own breakout rooms so they can meet one-on-one or as a group.

If there is anything else you would like to add to the agenda, please let us know, and we will do so. We are so excited about the reception, even if it is via zoom. It will be great to see everyone! A warm greeting, Carmen and Elena  Carmen E.
