Session 3: Joy and Sorrow: Early Modern Diplomatic Stagings
We invite papers exploring the intersection between diplomacy, spectacle, materiality and emotions while aiming at better understanding how performances and theatricality became tools of political and ideological power in the Iberian and Transatlantic Hispanic worlds.
