The Exec Committee of the Shakespeare Forum for the Modern Language Association of America announce calls for presentations for three sessions at the annual convention from January 6-9, 2022 Re-Reading “Timon of Athens" What can be done with “Timon of Athens” today? We welcome a range of methodologies and concerns. Send bios, titles, and 100-word abstracts of papers on Thomas Middleton and William Shakespeare’s collaborative play. Due date for submissions: Wednesday, 26 March 2021, Drew Daniel, Johns Hopkins U (drewdaniel@jhu.edu ) Who Owns Shakespeare? We request ten-minute roundtable presentations about who gets to speak about, for, and through Shakespeare right now — actors, dictators, journalists, markets, obsessives, publishers, readers, students, visionaries? Send 1-paragraph bio, 200-word abstract, and two questions.
