Content | -Call for Papers-English- Pre-Civil War (1936) Images of Iberian Masculinity(ies).45th Annual Convention, Northeast Modern Language Association (NeMLA) April 3-6, 2014 Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Host: Susquehanna University Session Description This panel will discuss different types of male hegemonic discourses which circulated in Spain until 1936. Panelists will analyze types of masculinities that did not adhere to archetypical hegemonic models, but that shared the same spheres of influence, and had similar visual and textual expression. Topics to be discussed include, but are not limited to, comparisons of certain types of masculinity(ies) as manifested in situations of peace and war. Este análisis tendrá en cuenta el tipo de masculinidades que quedaron fuera del arquetipo, pero compartieron espacios y medios de expresión visuales y textuales. Entre los tópicos a tratar está el de la comparativa de cómo estas masculinidad(es) se manifestaron en situaciones de paz y de guerra dentro y fuera de la Península.
