    Abstract:
    This essay explores the philosophy behind the advancements in technology and how it has negatively impacted the environment. The disconnection of humanity with nature is explored. Technology is so integrated into society; it is hard to separate from it. Efforts to create a greener economy such as the development of green technology has been growing, however it still requires the use of natural resources to create more technology and thus creates more waste. Humans need to reconnect with the environment and view the world differently for any true change to occur.
