    Abstract:
Many aspects of our daily lives has been disrupted in some way over the course of the pandemic and copyright services are no exception. For those of us working in higher education institutions the sudden shift to online resource provision has meant that we need to work to adapt and enhance our provision in response to the lack of access to physical materials. At the same time we need to manage expectations in terms of the availability of online materials and educate both users and staff in a constantly changing environment. This talk will look at the copyright journey taken by Cambridge University Libraries over the course of the last year. It will highlight how the initial response to the emergency was developed into a successful service, the challenges we faced as a university library with legal deposit responsibilities and the potential legacy of these changes for our copyright service. It will conclude with some of the lessons learnt and planned next steps to ensure that we build a copyright service useful to all.
