Elizabeth Gardner is a PhD Candidate at Louisiana State University. Her research area includes southern women writers of the 20th and 21st centuries. In particular, Elizabeth is interested in depictions of community in these texts. Elizabeth is currently president of the Society for the Study of Southern Literature’s Emerging Scholars Organization, and she begins work this fall as LSU’s University Writing Program Assistant Director.
