My research specialises in Gothic literature and media from the Romantic period through the long Nineteenth Century to its twenty-first-century screen and digital media adaptations. I am particularly interested in questions of the supernatural, dreams, the sciences of the mind, folklore, the human-animal relationship, gender, and literary adaptations across time and media. I am currently Senior Lecturer and Director of the Master of Research in the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
